Due to their soil restoring qualities Mykoplant® 100-products can be excellently used for recultivation of such problematic areas as slag heaps, contaminated soils, nutrient poor soils and mining and open cut mining areas.
The effect of our products for the restoration of soils has been noticed for the first time in the period from 1998 till 2000 during a national research assignment, the aim of which was the recultivation of former industrial areas.
The effect of Mykoplant® 100-products is based on the beneficial soil fungi, the so called mycorrhizae. Mycorrhizae build a symbiosis with the plant root system, which improves nutrients supply and accelerates the minerals’ exchange. The penetration of the fine plant roots into the soil causes the loosening of soil which in its turn increases its natural capacity to accumulate water. Additionally, glomalin, a product of metabolism of mycorrhizae, takes part in and increases the process of forming of crumbs. This improvement of the soil structure lets water seep through the soil easier.
Especially for the soils where nutrients have only little opportunity to get through to the roots we recommend to use the Mykoplant® 100BTH-products enriched with additional nutrients. The biological combination of mycorrhizae with humus bound bacteria helps plants to take roots sooner, helps the recultivation of the soil and further results in sustained soil climate.

According to the certification of BCS ÖKOGarantie GmbH, Nuremberg, according to EU-decree about the ecological agriculture EEC 2092/91 und the according to the one, which follows it, EU decree 834/2007 the Mykoplant® 100products can be used for each and every form of recultivation or restoration.
